This elegant porcelain vase captivates with its deep blue, glossy decor, accentuated by delicate gold rims. The front and back feature detailed, hand-painted scenes of colorful pheasants among blossoms and branches—a motif that combines elegance and exoticism.

The shape is as striking as it is harmonious: the funnel-shaped bowl with its vertical groove pattern flows into a sturdy base decorated with gold rings. The bold color combination of cobalt blue, gold, and the bright colors of the birds makes the vase extremely impressive and immediately draws attention.

At 19 cm tall, it's perfect for medium-sized bouquets, but can also be used as a decorative standalone piece on a dresser, in a glass display case, or on a dining table. A charming collector's item for lovers of artistic porcelain.

🧐 Age & Origin

Stylistically, the vase doesn't fit with classic Art Nouveau or Biedermeier vases, but rather falls into the category of "decorative porcelain of the 1980s." It was probably produced in Austria (possibly also in the Czech Republic/Hungary, as such vases were often produced near the border and exported to Austria). The "pheasant in floral decor" motif was very popular in the 1970s and 1980s, inspired by Asian models.
