A charming, small porcelain cup with coaster from the Austrian spa town of Bad Schallerbach in the state of Upper Austria.
This cup was bought as a souvenir in the spa town. The cup and coaster are decorated with beautiful floral gold ornaments.
It is ideal as a decorative cup in an arrangement with other porcelain dishes. But you can also use the cup for everyday use. Either as a tea cup or as a mocha cup.
But this cup is also ideal for collectors of porcelain dishes or for collectors of souvenir items.
This cup was sold in Austria, but it was produced in Schirnding, Bavaria. Schirnding was a well-known production site for porcelain. As early as 1838, Christian Paul Aecker laid the foundation stone for the porcelain factory in Schirnding with the "Aeckerische Porcellain- und Steingutfabrik".
The Schirnding company emerged from the former Lorenz Reichel porcelain painting company. In 1909, Lorenz Reichel's company became the Schirnding AG porcelain factory. After several mergers, bankruptcy was declared in 2013.
